: : Can someone tell me how to cut a large mirror, 3FT X 5FT. 3" of one corner chipped off and I need to make a 3FT cut. Please help.

: You need to lay a straight edge of sorts on the mirror. Use something that won't move when you run the cutter down along the side of the straight edge. Measure over 35 15/16". Do this because the cutter head is center set 1/16". Then with a medium continuous pressure, pull the cutter towards you. Remove the straight edge. Turn the mirror so that the score line is paralle with the edge of the table. Lift the mirror about 6" up and then "drop" the mirror while continuing to hold on. The mirror should snap at the score line. You could also use a pair of running pliers or place a pencil under the score line and gently press down on both side. Too complicated or too worried about not getting it right?.....take it to a glass shop and have them cut it for you.
